Elsa Giannoulidou ist
seit Beginn der Spielzeit 2008/09 Ensemblemitglied des Landestheaters Linz. Die
gebürtige Athenerin absolvierte ein Biologie Studium and der Aristoteles
Universität Thessaloniki bevor sie mit ihrer musikalischen Ausbildung begann.
Sie studierte an der Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst
Wien Gesang (Prof.Ralf Döring) und Lied & Oratorium (Prof.KS Marjana Lipovšek)
und schloss im Jänner 2007 mit Auszeichnung ab. In der Saison 2007-08 war sie
Mitglied des Internationalen Opernstudios am Opernhaus Zürich und wirkte u.a bei
Mozart’s „Cosi fan tutte“, Cavalli’s „La Didone“, Britten´s „The Beggar´s
Opera“, Schumann’s „Szenen aus Goethes Faust“ und Produktionen wie Opera Viva
für Kinder (Die Fledermaus, Boris Godunow, Die Italienerin in Algier) mit.
Sie gewann erste Preise beim "Concorso Internazionale per Cantanti
Lirici Rolando Nicolosi" und "International Competition C.A.Seghizzi" als auch
den Belcanto Preis 2007. Im Rahmen des Rossini Festivals in Bad Wildbad 2008
verkörperte sie die Rolle der Isabella in Rossini’s „Die Italienerin in Algier“
und wirkte gleichzeitig als Zulma bei der CD-Aufnahme derselben Oper unter
Alberto Zedda mit.
Als Konzertsängerin arbeitete sie u.a mit Ensembles wie Die Reihe,
Belgrader Philharmoniker zusammen und trat in Österreich, Griechenland,
Deutschland, Serbien und Italien auf.
Im Landestheater Linz ist sie als Flora (La Traviata), Adelaide
(Der Vogelhändler), Diana/ Giove in Diana (La Calisto), Cherubino (Le nozze di
Figaro), Javotte (Manon) und demnächst u.a als Niklaus (Hoffmanns Erzählungen),
Suzuki (Madame Butterfly), Nancy (Albert Herring) und Trommler (Der Kaiser von
Atlantis) zu hören.
Elsa Giannoulidou has been engaged in the Ensemble of the Landestheater Linz
(Austria) since the 2008-09 season. Born in Athens, she received her biology
degree from the Aristoteles University Thessaloniki before starting her musical
studies.
She graduated with honors in January 2007 from the “Universität für
Musik & Darstellende Kunst Wien“, where she studied with Prof. Ralf Döring (Singing)
and Prof. KS Marjana Lipovšek (Lied and Oratorio). In the 2007-08 season, she
was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Opernhaus Zürich, where
she performed in Mozart’s „Cosi fan tutte“, Cavalli’s „La Didone“, Britten´s „The
Beggar´s Opera“, Schumann’s „Szenen aus Goethes Faust“ and productions such as
Opera Viva für Kinder (Die Fledermaus, Boris Godunow, L´Italiana in Algeri). She
was awarded scholarships from the Richard Wagner Stipendienstiftung, the
Janacek-Sobotka Foundation and the “Universität für Musik & Darstellende Kunst
Wien“.
Ms. Giannoulidou won first prizes in the “Concorso Internazionale
per Cantanti Lirici Rolando Nicolosi (2005), the “C.A.Seghizzi International
Competition” (2006) and also the BelCanto Prize 2007. During the 2008 Rossini
Festival Bad Wildbad in Germany she sang Isabella in “L´Italiana in Algeri” on
stage and recorded the role of Zulma of the same opera under the baton of
conductor Alberto Zedda.
As a concert singer she gave recitals in Austria, Greece, Germany, Italy, Serbia
and worked with such ensembles as Die Reihe and Belgrader Philharmoniker.
At the Landestheater Linz, she can currently be heard as Flora (La
Traviata), Adelaide (Der Vogelhändler), Diana/ Giove in Diana (La Calisto),
Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and in the next season she will be performing
such roles as Niklaus (Hoffmanns Erzählungen), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Nancy
(Albert Herring) and Trommler (Der Kaiser von Atlantis). |
